Absolutely fantastic! The food was beautiful and extremely tasty. I had the Kitsune udon and it was simply perfect. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff lovely and attentive. The menu has lots of great options and they even have a separate vegan menu. 10/10 we will be returning soon!
A lovely waitress service, just 3 slices of lemon can made a day for all of us feel so warm, but that was just a glass of coke with lemon. Pumpkin cake and tempura shrimp were the most loved 2 of my order. Regular Eel rice also delicious, seafood steamed egg in tea cup also wonderful But Tonkotsu Ramen, the soup temperature and taste there is a lot of room for improvement.
Travelled from London to support Hong Konger own business. The seasonal menu - Soy bean sauce marinated egg with chopped tuna rice is the best! Very reasonable price. Worth to try and will return next time! Also very attentive there’s an area for kids can play games before/after meal. P.S Suggest not using wooden chopsticks, as they were not thoroughly dried and smell musty.
Dined here for the first time tonight as recommended by friends. Very nice boss and staff. Atmosphere and environment are clean and cozy. Sashimi are very fresh. Most surprisingly are the food presentations which are all very pretty. Definitely will come back again.
Absolutely love this place! Run by friendly Hong Kong owners, and honestly worth making a trip to Southampton just to eat here. Ingredients are super fresh and high quality — one bowl of donburi already makes me so happy. The desserts are amazing too. Staff and the owner are really nice, and you can tell the owner puts a lot of pride and heart into every dish. One of the best Japanese dining experiences I’ve had in the UK. Will 100% come back!
I had a wonderful dining experience at this Japanese restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly, making me feel truly welcomed. The food was beautifully presented—each dish looked like a piece of art—and the taste was just as impressive. A perfect balance of aesthetics and flavor. Highly recommended!
Amazing! We were there for lunch and found that the menu has such great varieties of Japanese delicacy, from comforting soy sauce sauteed beef on top of rice to fresh sashimi. They did offer lunch menu £12 for a lunch set with appetizer, main course and soft drinks. We ordered the sashimi don which looks phenomenal and taste fresh. Highly recommend.
Amazing little gem near the uni. Lovely owner, good Japanese food tapas/picky bits style, and very very decently priced. I’ve been here a few times but only for desserts as I’m usually left disappointed by most Japanese food I’ve had in Southampton. I finally tried the menu today and so glad I did. Looking forward to try the ramen and other noodles next when the temperature cools down. 10% off if you pay cash or bank transfer.
